About the Data

The data used for this visualization comes from the City of San Francisco's Tree Maintenance Data from 2016. This covers all
the requests made for tree maintenance around the city of SF, including landscaping, overgrowth, damage, etc. This is narrowed
down further and broken down by Neighborhood Districts.

Interpretations

This visualization shows us which districts are densely populated with tree maintenance requests. We can see that there is
a clear cluster type of requests made, including many vandalized trees, as noted in red by the legend. The legend also includes
a clear encoding of colors for vandalized trees, fallen trees, and all other requests made. I chose to focus on these because it
seemed like these two were the most problematic or "dangerous" of the rest.If you click on the specific neighborhoods, you
can see that the most requests were made in the Mission, Civic Center, Cathedral Hill, and Dolores Heights neighborhoods.
To make it easier to locate a place to click, you can scroll/pan the zoom to focus on a particular area.
